A phobia is an irrational fear of an object or situation that causes little or no danger, they may cause certain individuals anxiety, but the fear itself won’t cause any danger. Phobias are linked to our unconscious, and because they are irrational, they can often be dealt with effectively. Phobias are extremely common and wide-ranging, there will usually be strong, avoidance behaviour connected with the phobia, and feelings of anxiety, loss of control and panic. Sufferers usually know their fear is irrational, but they cannot control it. If you are suffering from a phobia get in touch and stop your suffering.

Fear is a natural response caused by real danger. For example, we are all scared of coming face to face with a wild, hungry animal, and fear is a survival instinct, which warns us against certain things or situations. Feelings of fear are very common; almost all of us will experience fear at some point throughout our lives. For example, before a long flight, or when making a presentation at work. For most of us, this feeling is temporary and manageable. We develop coping strategies of our own or embrace our nerves to help us perform better in tasks. Fear can be overcome with Hypnotherapy, get in touch today.

A panic attack happens when your body experiences a sudden onset of intense symptoms. These symptoms are both psychological and physiological in nature. Usually, an attack will begin with a sudden feeling of intense fear or panic. This is then generally followed by physical symptoms such as heart palpitations, nausea and sweating.

Feeling like this is understandably overwhelming and those who experience it often over-breathe (hyperventilate). Overbreathing in this way can then lead to more unwanted symptoms, making matters worse.

A typical panic attack lasts between five and 10 minutes, but they can come in waves for up to two hours. They tend to end as quickly as they begin and, even though it may not feel like it, they aren’t harmful.

When you first experience a panic attack, it can be easily confused with breathing problems or a heart attack. If you want to know more about how Hypnotherapy can help you with your panic attacks contact me and lets work together to get you through this.

In today’s society we are under increasing pressure to maintain a body that is comfortable and is going to last us as long as possible without placing additional burden on health services. Most people with weight issues have a low self-image; they may be successful, rich and hardworking intellectually, but emotionally they avoid looking at themselves.

They do not believe people will love them for long, or they behave as if they do not care, but deep down have fantasies of one day being loved and loving themselves. When someone is focusing on losing weight it is worth looking at the belief that has kept the weight in place for so long. Often we hold beliefs at two levels; at the conscious level we think good thoughts about ourselves, our worth and what we deserve as human beings; but unconsciously our habits give way to our emotional beliefs about ourselves. If you want to know more about how Hypnotherapy can help you manage your weight get in touch with me today.

Most people regard pain as a bad thing, a negative feeling they experience. This leads to negative feelings toward the issue, causing the pain to become a self-sustaining sensation. Many people (not all) suffering from long term chronic pain conditions become extremely negative people in all aspects of their lives. This then creates more emotional pain, which feeds the feelings of physical pain.

Realistically, as already stated, pain is only a message. It is nothing to be taken negatively or to fear.

For most pain, initially it is essential to alert the body to a problem, but once it has been addressed the message is no longer required.

Often the message is ignored, not acknowledged, especially if the pain is a response to emotional factors. The message will then get louder and louder until listened to.

I can help you to turn that old pain permanently off in one quick and easy session.
